Isn't it related to the risk of her pivoting to 3rd-party spoiler?

That seems to be the manufactured scenario we're supposed to worry about

They are worried about Jill Stein 2.0. And Gabbard is setting up to be just that. Stein’s ~100k+ votes in WI, PA, MI were more than the 77k vote differential b/t Trump and Clinton, and she was given a closing push by IRA trolls. Why wouldn’t that be a concern?
-
The concern in 2016 was picking a Democratic nominee who couldn't even beat Donald Trump

She’s the one stoking the pile-on, no? As far as I can tell, her whole campaign is now about how awful
@HillaryClinton is. She knows this is catnip to right-wing shitbags. And she knows it’ll get her a ton of attention. -
It's also catnip to half the Democratic party. I understand the dynamic from the candidate's point of view (all press is good press when you're in a crowded field) but not so much why the press chose to focus on her

How would you expect the establishment to react to a young, ambitious, attractive woman that also has the wrong views about the Middle East?

Role play this situation with me… you have vote fix in place, because the country’s electronic election system has been fully compromised. Without any real vote auditing systems in place, all you need to do to cover your crime is to engineer sufficiently plausible deniability:
-
You cannot flip democratic votes to Trump, because of a huge discrepancy with exit polls would make the fraud obvious… but splitting the vote from presumably very progressive candidate to a 3rd “centrist” or other alternative candidate passing as democrat
