Tiny countries like Finland and Estonia do fine against this supposed juggernaut of psychological manipulation, right over their border. If an entire American political party has been bent to the will of these track suit supermen, that's a story about the party, not them.

I think of it as an inverse of the belief that the CIA/MI5/Mossad/whatever is behind every significant social movement abroad (with the caveat that I don't question the reality of Russian interference like I do those conspiracy theories)
