While I don't disagree with your main point, I think it should be pointed out that political discourse in Finland has long shied away from being overly or overtly critical of Russia.

I’m agnostic on this argument, but isn’t the point that tiny countries are also less worth meddling with? Like, presumably Russia has more to gain by fucking with US politics than by messing with the Estonians. (Though they seem to do both...)

No one is saying Russia is a juggernaut though. They have a GDP smaller than Italy. If they're going to apply their limited resources towards something, then far more likely upon some of the religious maniacs at the GOP, rather than the comparatively irrelevant Finland.
