A common sight tonight and every night of protest I've seen is parents hustling their small children away from areas of conflict with the police. It's not the protesters they're afraid of. I doubt there's a kid left in the city who doesn't know the smell of tear gas

If you get up close and look past riot cops into the inside of Mong Kok police station, you'll see the walls are covered with children's drawings. The police are parents, too. They try to keep morale up by remembering their kids. This can't go on happening.
