I think the correct plan depends entirely on conditions in the fall of 2020, which are impossible to foresee. The best we can do before then is nominate a competent candidate to run against him.

This is only true if you believe the only correct course of action is that which is dictated by political calculation. While I acknowledge that impeachment is a political action, not a legal one, there is an ethical obligation Congress has to the future of our country.
