I think it is a wise course of action, and neither cynical nor stupid. You disagree but I think it's weird to call a clearly intelligent woman an idiot, or accuse her of bad faith, because she is pursuing a course of action that doesn't make sense to you

I admit I’m pretty baffled by your support for Pelosi’s inaction on impeachment. I missed the part where you explained it; would you mind running through it again? I genuinely want to understand the reasoning.

I believe that there is no chance of getting a conviction in the Senate, no matter how serious the evidence against Trump, and I sort of work backwards from that. Impeachment would become an all-consuming media spectacle and likely cost us the election by mobilizing Trump voters

Impeachment is a political process by design and so reject all the Eagle Scout arguments that we must do it to preserve the Republic, out of duty and honor, etc. The goal is to win back power, and I think impeachment would not advance that goal, but prevent us from winning

Thank you for explaining. I really appreciate it. (I don’t agree, but I don’t pretend to know politics either. Fortunately I don’t have any power.)

No worries; thanks for the good-faith question! I also learned that I don't know politics and so am happy to confine my activities to Twitter
