Well, if that wasn't true, it couldn't very well be charging those prices and getting them. The fact that these prices exist just tells you that capitalism doesn't work for medicine.

Taken to its logical end this suggests that all expensive products that have a market are useful. Consider things like luxury vehicles, food covered in gold leaf, theme park tickets, etc. I think it is a stretch to say the prices are justified by usefulness
