My strong dislike of children is really putting a silver lining around climate change for me. Species will come and go, but at least the kid who cried on my flight will grow up in a desert hellscape

I found this to be the opposite, other people's kids were much cuter until I had one of my own, and now all the ones that aren't mine are kinda boring

No, only to delight in YOUR children.

This is untrue. We are just too tired to respond to anything with emotional depth. This is just next level apathy.

That is SUCH a myth. MANY parents think they're broken b/c they take time to love their kids. Some like their kids but not other ppl's kids. And some wish they had left kids to being creatures they can give back at the end of the visit. The myth leads to bad mental health.

Not to be needlessly argumentative, but I think there are a not-inconsequential number of parents who never end up living their children. May or may not have experienced this personally.
