After centuries of fucking up countries like ours, Britain finally turns on herself. This justice isn't poetic, and it may be delivered by a man who looks like a cross between a hot dog and a really bad hat, but it's lovely to watch.

@magiciansdinner I understand comparisonitis is a thing, but this one's really a stretch, isn't it? Try again. And if you think I actually care about what your "we" think of my "take" . . . don't even bother trying again. -
The “we” in my example was a class of 14 year olds at the time, sorry if that wasn’t clear. Ok then, another attempt: did “Argentina” (ie all the regular people that lived there) “deserve” the 90s hyperinflation because they’d had a shitty military junta in the 70s and 80s?

Im wondering how “karma at a country level” could apply in other less-than ideal situations in history. If that’s too emotive, pick any example you like when individuals suffer because they have a crummy government and decide if they earned it
-
If I’m not being clear enough, “enjoying the suffering of an entire group of people because of the bad shit their rulers did” already concedes the idea that national identities are a meaningful way to label people. That leads to some dark places pretty quickly
