If Xinhua or CCTV used unlicensed music in those ads, they would be taken down instantly. But as we all know, YouTube is remarkably tolerant about spreading hatred. Does the 'state-sponsored' banner even show up on YouTube ads? And how many anti-HK state-backed ads have they run?

Twitter banned these ads and Facebook and YouTube need to do the same. They are state-sponsored disinformation intended to vilify a democratic protest movement in order to make it easier to suppress by force of arms. This shouldn't be a tough call for a company as smart as Google
