When I call Hong Kong a Zeroth World city, this is what I mean. I just checked my luggage at the downtown train station, got my plane boarding pass, and it all took about 70 seconds. Now I'm on high speed rail to airport, no bags in tow

You forgot the free WiFi on the train to the airport.

BART had free WiFi for a few years, even on moving trains, sometimes. https://sfist.com/2014/12/29/breaking_no_more_wi-fi_on_bart_trai/ …

There was a storm yesterday and LaGuardia is fine. I think I agree with your larger point, but it’s frustrating when people supposedly arguing for better infrastructure dunk on the incorrect impressions they have of the MTA, LGA, etc.
-
What incorrect impression? LGA had four hour plus gridlock after storms some ten days ago. There were entire news articles about it. And there's certainly no train serving that airport

I mostly agree, but La Guardia is punching down.
