There is a faction of Hong Kong protesters who are angry, reject non-violence, and are determined to confront police. How a leaderless movement successfully got them to hold back this weekend, in the name of unity, is fascinating. There was no tear gas AT ALL this weekend in HK.

It is truly remarkable. "Be water" not only on tactics on the ground (i.e. not to clash with police head-on), but also to strategies of the movement (react to the responses of the powers). Very educational for activism everywhere.
