This is actually a legitimate issue in machine apocalypse scenarios. We don’t build anything for actually durable autonomous operation. Terminator is framed around military robots that become independent. Except nothing mechanized in the military besides a scarce few capital platforms is really independent at all. And not for very long. Machines always fail first in wars of attrition. Humans are super assholes.
