But in reality, Skywalker wasn't acted well and his character is woefully underdeveloped. He couldn't hold his own movie--that's Han Solo--even if everyone would line up and wear costumes to the premier. It would get nominated for zero awards, and be forgotten.

That said, we're at the point where my unflattering comparison--that he's really a mortal Mark Hamill, not heroic Luke Skywalker--is looking generous. I mean, he's not a star. But there's a reason he at least did what he did in Texas, and there's upside from 0% in NH

The comparison between the replies to this--which range from obnoxiously pedantic to just outright mean--and the generally positive reaction I get when I tell this to people IRL is just a fantastic exhibit for why Twitter is terrible

And it's not even that the replies here unusally bad, to be clear. It's tame. It's just rare to tweet something that I've already said dozens, even scores of times, including to people on this website, for such a clear baseline for comparison

Anyway, I don't tweet much anymore and this is the main reason why. It's too bad, because I think Twitter can be extremely valuable and it certainly has been for me. But it's hard to engage in it in a healthy way
