I like the New York Times Privacy Project. Some of my best friends etc. But the paper's two unforgivable sins are: 1. It does not disclose massive financial conflicts of interest in articles on surveillance 2. There is no ombudsman or Public Editor to complain about that to

So for example, this piece by Sundar Pichai is stuffed full of Google tracking scripts, and didn't even include the minimal disclaimer you pasted at me (which would have been wholly inadequate on its own).
