Yesterday Ted Cruz (who received $6000 from Google PAC in 2017-18) asked if any Google executive voted for Trump. One answer may be Google's VP of Government Affairs & Public Policy, @Karan_K_Bhatia, who made a $2000 personal donation to Paul Ryan in 2018. https://docquery.fec.gov/cgi-bin/fecimg/?201807139115405156 …

In the 2016 cycle, Mr. Bhatia (who is now in charge of Google's political giving) made a personal donation of $3500 to Republican senator Rob Portman, $1000 to Marco Rubio, $1000 to Jeb Bush, and $1000 to John McCain. He did not donate to Democratic candidates. (source: FEC)pic.twitter.com/tLXQwTYLNS

Google's UX Director Maggie Stanphill missed a good opportunity to cut Cruz off in yesterday's hearing and say "not only did we give your campaign money, but the executive in charge of all our political giving is a Republican". Anyway, happy #pride!
