David Hines Retweeted Ravelry
If you don't know Ravelry, it's a big knitting/crocheting etc. site which has now banned any support of President Trump. If you look at Ravelry's comment on the matter, you'll notice some interesting limits to their policy.https://twitter.com/ravelry/status/1142766608680660992?s=21 …

Particularly notable to me is the explicit prohibition against weaponizing the policy. I.E., it makes a concession to activist pressure and simultaneously hopes to limit activist ability to provide further pressure. (Not gonna work.)

Anyway, you all know my spiel by now: lacking structures to project power, lacking research on Ravelry's weaknesses and thus a knowledge of what buttons to push, the only avenue conservatives have is state power. The thread in the first tweet suggests siccing the FEC on Ravelry.

I don't know if that would work. But it would require a lot of conservative Ravelry users calling their reps, meaning they'd need to be organized as a group, but right now the only place they organize is Ravelry.

The FEC complaint would rather hilariously not work, and (speaking as someone on the other side) I would love to see it.
