at least an ad blocker can help on a webpage, not so much on an iPhone app

I really miss MinMinGuard on Android, which blocks ads inside of apps. Unfortunately, it requires Xposed which often means staying on old Android versions, and I eventually gave up. :-(

I used to want the death of suffering of outbrain and taboola, butvthey are so easily blocked and are less dangerous to society today than Facebook and YouTube. Baby steps.

The 2nd best security advice after 2FA is “install an ad blocker and never turn it off”. I also use NoScript with restrictive defaults, but that’s too annoying for the layperson.
