Dear lazyweb: can you think of any example of a company that has been able to completely safeguard a large data collection over time (millions of users for 20+ years)?

I agree this is an issue, I just think it’s a separate issue. 2-factor authentication doesn’t seem to be a good alternative, and your proposal would require Apple collecting more user data across its services, no?
