You can make the argument, and it's a good argument even though I disagree with it. Just don't put words in my mouth is all I ask. I'm advocating for limits on encrypted group size, not 'golden keys'.

I don't think you quite get it. Imagine an event like what happened in Sri Lanka last month, coupled with large intersecting whatsapp groups, and calls to "kill them all". Imagine Radio Mille Collines but over encrypted chat. Amplification for fastmoving events that turn violent

What's frustrating me about this conversation is that you keep talking about backdoors and stuff that I am not advocating. I am saying that mass-market group chat that allows more than N participants, where N is some number we can debate, is dangerous. Cap it at N.

Err, I meant to write "mass-market end-to-end-encrypted" group chat. Telegram is fine with 1,000,000 users in a group; probably makes life easier for the signals intelligence officer
