"We incurred net losses of $146.9 million, $140.1 million, and $138.9 million in fiscal years 2017, 2018, and 2019, respectively." The promise of а profitable first quarter in 2054 makes Slack the hottest tech IPO of the year

I can't get over the fact that I have 21,374 active users and am more profitable by several hundred million dollars than Slack, Lyft, Uber, Tesla, and Pinterest put together. It's like showing up for school on Backwards Day when nobody told you, except with money.

Thanks for bring this up. I almost feel like I'm spotting a pattern of people over-paying for cloud services everywhere I turn. I even like Slack, and even see it making companies more productive. But so expensive to run -- out of whack with my intuition.
-
That intuition is driven by "how many racks of machine required to do X", not "how much AWS time" though.
