+1 It even works a good 70% of the times I press it. Other times, I see it register the button press as the icon turns grey, but somehow doesn't lock the screen. Amazing technology.

does hitting the escape key count as "using" the touchbar?

I love using the Touch Bar shortcuts that change for each app. Why wouldn’t you like that?

I’m concerned that 2019 Apple, if they were to ditch the touch bar, would just leave off that row entirely. The Emacs key motions still in macOS and iOS to this day make their stance on that debate pretty clear.

Don’t own one. But if your point is
@Apple creates features no one asked for or wants, then hypes them to *justify* keeping prices high... Well, then, I agreeThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I can't because my f-ing MacBook Pro keyboard doesn't work so I have to set another keyboard on top of the in-built keyboard to type. Although, to be honest, switching back to keyboard keys for stuff like "escape" and volume felt great. The TouchBar needs a lot of work...

I specifically got the Macbook Pro without the touchbar. APPLE JUST MAKE A LAPTOP WITH A TOUCH SENSITIVE SCREEN (just copy the Surface)
