Anybody have a recommendation for a decent human-luggable RAID enclosure with 8-12 bays for offsite backup? Use case is haul it into a data center, let it fill up, and then haul it to storage. I prefer a dumb box of disks easy to administer from a ubuntu server or mac laptop.

These days you can also use smaller enclosures like 4-5 disk but use enormous disks like 12-14tb.

I've thought about this, but with those disks you're getting into a regime where rebuild time on a failed RAID is comparable to average time between failures
