The system for spending campaign money is so awful, and the key players in it so irredeemably corrupt, that pouring more money into it is just gasoline on a bonfire. We only got away with a quirky effort like the Great Slate because of the element of surprise. Winter is coming.

Oh, just to make you feel worse—as a political fundraiser, you know the thing I found works best? Massive Twitter drama. You will raise easily 10x the money from an online freakout that you would from a real event with real people. Context-free high dudgeon = $$$$. Enjoy 2020!
