One thing I hope people are ready for is that if we suffer a narrow loss in the midterms (which I think is likely), we keep fighting. We'll have to look at districts where we made significant gains, whether or not it was enough to win, and learn from them. But it's going to sting

Keep thinking theirs valuable network effects of having visible progressives. So many people vote red just because their neighbors do.

In the red rural districts I've been fundraising for, a repeated pattern is to hear people express relief when they see a neighbor put up a lawn sign. "I thought I was the only Democrat in my neighborhood". It is very heartening for people to know they're not alone

THAT. I live in libertarian rural Alaska, & there's a huge untapped potential for doing political groundwork. I'm glad you're aware you won't on your own get all/most to win. But Alyse *may* unseat Donnie, and will get closer than anyone in living memory. There's so much to do.

Alyse has built a huge network of volunteers across Alaska and a big fundraising base. A similar situation holds in many other districts. We have to make sure we preserve that and build on it after the election, win or lose!
