Remember how the other day I tweeted out this long impassioned screed about how we have winnable candidates who are just not getting the funding to reach undecided voters? http://idlewords.com/2018/10/portrait_of_a_campaign.htm …

The data in this poll is consistent with other polls, which show two things: Alyse Galvin is nipping at Don Young's heels, and a bunch of Alaska voters still haven't heard of her. The only thing we need to convert this and some other close races to a victory is money.

In this election, we all have to do stuff we've never done before if we want change. Stuff I've never done includes "release the results of a poll in a tweet". If stuff you've never done before includes making a political donation, change that right now:https://secure.actblue.com/donate/great_slate …

And if you are a forecaster or pollster who has Alaska in the "Solid Republican" column, please look at the last few weeks of polling and reconsider. This race is very close, and has gone almost completely unreported.

But this is PPP usually favors Dems

maybe but these margins are exactly on point. These numbers suggest independents are breaking for Alyse over Don and she’s even winning over some Trump voters

yikes that's ... a bit of a push poll lol

This is a standard polling technique where you start neutral and try to gauge how much things change if the voter hears more about you. It's intended to help the candidate understand where to put resources, vs. a push poll which is about surreptitiously influencing respondents
