This is an exercise in theater considering how much money is pouring in to political advertising on the site. Swaying elections on Facebook is legit as long as you pay them.

Making sure that the privately-owned global surveillance network that makes all its money by influencing people doesn't get in trouble for it is an interesting exercise in PR.

To be fair, most of the people that Facebook makes money by influencing are advertising buyers, but some of the actual ad targeting may work too
