The guy has never held a public town hall because he is afraid of having to face constituents who will ask him about his vote trying to deny them health care. He's part of a pack of incumbents scared to death of town halls, and we should be pressing them mercilessly on it

My favorite example (I wish I could remember the district!) is the guy who held a town hall and brought along a fellow Congressman from across the country, who fielded all the questions. It was an "opportunity to learn about the issues nationally". A++ town hall buddy system
