This article on the midterms being all about Trump is so far from my experience that I am genuinely baffled. I don't know a single House candidate who is talking about Trump now—they're about talking health care, taxes, and not taking corporate PAC money. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-colors-the-fall-campaign-landscape-hes-been-the-only-thing-that-matters/2018/09/08/fd1a9a06-b2d7-11e8-a20b-5f4f84429666_story.html …

Meanwhile, on a Western road trip that began on I-5 last weekend (Carr Fire smoke pictures from Redding to Mt Shasta shown here), we're seeing astonishingly few roadside campaign signs -- except in western WA, where there are many. Surprised there aren't more in the CA 1st Dist.pic.twitter.com/oALE5QMqCs

Update: there are lots of local election campaign signs in the Spokane area too. Why so few in CA and OR? It was like this in summer 2016. Without signs displayed in the physical world where everybody lives, politics becomes one channel among many that people can tune to, or not.
