It's Sunday and time to add another candidate to the Great Slate! This race is highly unusual for the Great Slate as our candidate is running in a district that Hillary Clinton won 49%-45% in 2016. It has a Cook Partisan Voting Index of D+3!

The incumbent in Dana's district is John Katko, who likes to paint himself as the most bipartisan member of Congress. Part of the reason the Democrats are spooked is that he outperformed Trump in this district by 16%. But that was before he voted for all of Trump's policies

Katko also has a scary lead in fundraising. At the end of July, he had $1.6M in cash on hand, compared to Dana's $113K. That's where I think we can help. I can't imagine a race where it makes less sense for funding to be a limiting factor. Let's give so that Dana can win!

So please join me in donating as generously as you can to Dana Balter through the Great Slate! Take a minute to read her inspiring bio upthread, take a look at John Katko and ask yourself if this is a race we can afford to write off. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/great_slate …pic.twitter.com/aPSV0NPQ8m

As a final bit of context, Dana's primary opponent (a former prosecutor) initially supported her as an amazing candidate, but ultimately ran against her out of fear that Balter couldn't raise funds nationally. JUST THROW MONEY AT THIS RACE. It is the easiest pick of 2018.
