Hunter won by 30+ points the last two times. This district is so red he might very well get reelected despite the indictment.

It's an R+11 district in California with a big Hispanic population. That's not particularly red. Hunter's opponent in 2016 raised something like $30K for the whole cycle, so the big margin of victory reflects pro forma opposition more than a deep love of Hunter.

I didn't realize that. That gives me some hope. But what is known about Hunter's opponent this time? Hope it's somebody stronger than in 2016.

His opponent this year is Ammar Campa-Najjar, a charismatic young guy with progressive support who has outraised Hunter, taking in over $1M.
