Trump drama aside, automatically revoking security clearances when people leave office seems like a sensible measure, and a good way to defund the intelligence consultancy complex, which my cynical mind says is one reason people are yelling about it so hard
I think a method whereby high-level people who were once cleared could be quickly 'read back' into their clearance would meet those goals, at least in part

Having obtained a class of clearance once to work on specific projects at VAFB, I never want to go through that process again. It's creepy, frustrating, and more than a little infantilizing. Proposing redoing it in fast forward really isn't a solution.
