Unpopular but correct opinion: provided you can get there (flights are cancelled at the first whisper of weather), LaGuardia is one of the better American airports for a layover. Fight me!

They installed all kinds of fancy eateries and there's usually a corner you can hide in, with a power outlet. Provided you don't have to go through LGA security or get in/out of Manhattan, it's a comfy place! And the approach and landing is magnificent.

"Provided you don't have to go through LGA security" is the catch - true for the Delta terminal, but in the American terminal you have to go through security to get from one set of gates to the other.

The new eateries in the Delta terminal are overrated/overpriced (if better than average). Much better is to hazard security and take the five minute cab ride to Flushing for Chinese food.

You are way more dedicated to good food than I am. I just like the touchscreens that prevent me having to talk to anyone, and I would rather eat styrofoam peanuts than go through the LGA security line
