If your kitchen disposal won’t work, there’s a hole on the bottom of the unit you can put an Allen wrench in (or anything close) and turn it manually to potentially un-seize the motor.

True Adult Life Tip: Sometimes you really do need to “Just Leave It Unplugged” for 10 minutes. My washing machine required this. Quick power cycling with the fuse panel did nothing and I was about to call repair.

True Adult Life Tip: Just because you blew a fuse in an electronic system, doesn’t mean the fuse saved the electronics. It might just mean it kept your house from catching on fire. Don’t be too emotionally invested in it being a cheap fix.

True Adult Life Tip: Many settings and internal registers cannot be fixed through normal means on many embedded devices. Sometimes you do just need to do a hard factory reset. Sometimes that’s the manufacturer fix. It’s cheaper for them than writing GUI interfaces or error codes.

I recently purchased a used device on eBay and it worked awesome after I did a full hard factory reset and updated the firmware manually. Sometimes you can install firmware over itself, even if it’s the same version, to fix issues as well.
