Cautionary tale: I took my MacBook Pro in to get the defective keyboard replaced. Apple store techs broke the logic board when opening the case, then sent the machine to a third-party vendor who replaced the SSD without authorization. The whole process took 10 days.

This is where the techs made their biggest mistake. There is no simple keyboard repair. It’s major surgery with risk of complications. DM me if you want help. There are escalation paths to resolve your very legit complaints. Possibly getting SSD back. So sorry it messed up so bad

If it’s a 2016 or later MacBook Pro the SSD is soldered onto the logic board. It’s all one part logic board and SSD.

I had a couple of bad keys on a MacBook Air that is my primary laptop. I made 3 backups & wiped the SSD before giving it to because it contained proprietary data. Not taking a precaution like that is extremely foolish, especially if it’s a work computer.
