True whining: I took my MacBook Pro in to Burlingame Apple store last week, to get the defective keyboard replaced. They broke the logic board when opening the case, and called me with the "good news" that I would not be charged for a new one. They have not been heard from since.

… I had heard they started doing repairs in store rather than fedexing them out to repair depots as they'd done since time immemorial. You'd think that'd mean *quick* repairs.

They did, except 1) they didn't order enough replacement parts and 2) it is very easy to damage the logic board ribbon cable when making the repair, which then requires FedExing it to a real repair center
