True whining: I took my MacBook Pro in to Burlingame Apple store last week, to get the defective keyboard replaced. They broke the logic board when opening the case, and called me with the "good news" that I would not be charged for a new one. They have not been heard from since.

I know of at least one person who-types-like-this-like-an-animal because his MBP space bar broke and he is too afraid to take his machine in. I think Apple's strategy of hot-gluing every internal together to make the 'pro' laptop 1mm thinner is maybe not a good one.

To be clear: the keyboard whining is not about whether the keyboard is nice to use, or lacks an escape key, or whatever. It is that keys get stuck and type double, or fail to register, and that this problem is endemic. And Apple says they will only replace a bad keyboard ONCE!

We sacrificed your escape keys to try and appease whatever made 2018. You're welcome.
