Not only does it violate the presumption of innocence, but the founders anticipated this very conflict and solved it by vesting the power to impeach in the House and Senate. That's not how impeachment works, though. Congress has absolute authority there independent of any court. The Supreme Court, meanwhile, has to decided structural questions about the Presidency (like what the scope of immunity is) not specific to Trump

The possibility of impeachment depends on the information developed in investigations of the President. Clinton v. Jones went to the SC, and Clinton was impeached as an indirect result.
