Anyone else wonder why a man under investigation for participation in the biggest political crime in U.S. history is permitted to choose a judge *who'll sit on his case* just 120 days pre-election, when a scandal-free POTUS was denied his right to nominate 9 months pre-election?

If Mueller subpoenas Trump and Trump wants to fight the subpoena he will take the fight all the way to SCOTUS and they determine if he should be interviewed. If he is impeached and indicted he will take it all the way to SCOTUS to appeal any found guilt.

There's no appeal from impeachment and conviction by the Senate. The Supreme Court is only involved insofar as the Chief Justice presides over the trial. As far as whether a sitting President can be indicted, who else should decide that if not the Supreme Court?
