Imagine what tech companies would do if they faced effective, sustained political pressure from the government. Trump's short attention span and impulsiveness has saved us a lot of grief, but I think also given us a false sense of safety. We in tech were tested and are not ready.
I think I have a broader definition of 'political pressure' in mind, the kind of stuff that courts don't fix. Putin's approach with big tech firms in Russia is a good example of it.

There's that, but there's redress through the legal system unless Trump starts cloning Judge Janine. He couldn't even stop the Time Warner merger and the judges he's appointing will not look favorably on his antitrust efforts if that's the route he chooses to go
