The second thing is, it's not enough to have your ballot postmarked by Election Day. It has to ARRIVE by election day. And the third is, if you're an unaffiliated voter, you get TWO primary ballots (the R and D ones) and can only return one. If you fill out both, it's invalid

My point on this, if I have one, is that small details matter a lot in voting, and to get them right you need career people willing to work somewhat thanklessly to make them a reality. I appreciate far more about California ballots now that I've seen the invisible good decisions
