Giving money to political candidates is NOT helpful. What is helpful is NOT giving money to political candidates. If you have a Dumpster Fire on your left and a Dumpster Fire on your right, you don't put firewood in either dumpster.https://twitter.com/Pinboard/status/1007656447742828544 …

Actually the best way would be if politicians couldn’t accept money at all to buy their allegiance. Maybe then we’d get some good candidates in office instead of the turds we have now that are on the take and are for sale

Okay, but how should political campaigns be funded? To run for Congress, you have to reach about 710,000 people.

The question is not HOW they should be funded, but WHETHER they should be funded. Both parties employ Campaign Professionals who use whatever money you give them to debase the process and obfuscate the issues. STOP IT. Stop giving them money.

My thought exactly, just take the funding out of it . They didn’t have this problem 200 years ago

I keep repeating this, though. How do you run for free in a Congressional district, if you have to reach 710,000 people, and you are not wealthy enough to pay for it yourself?
