It must be difficult for investors to tell the difference between the various quantitative factor strategies. For each firm, I'd investigate if they had a unique + growing edge (moat) in -team -recruiting -research platform (data, modeling) + process -culture
Things like culture, capital allocation (ppl & systems),... are super important - and I would guess most ppl realize that. The big question is the next step: how to find out (and monitor) about it and compare amongst firms?
