I'm gonna meditate and pray that I can just do a few simple things,like eat something I was on a call recently where someone said I should've been on Dancing With the Stars. Funny, they inquired many years ago but I was appalled at the notion of visibility for being someone's gf

If I was someone motivated by negativity or spite or something I'd probably be opening Final Draft right now and writing the most glorious spec script with moxie and a can-do "I'll show them" attitude. I know lots of great work happens that way. Maybe I'll crack that code one day

Again, it's more about my past 15 yrs than this one thing but ppl who haven't said hello in a year texting today b/c I'm quoted in the Hollywood Reporter wtf. And in a negative context- remember, we only got here b/c of that ABOMINATION of a show and there's nothing cute about it

I'm just being called names and tweeted at about how John Wayne once played an Asian character so any casting is fine because it's called ACTING hellooooo. I've never known how to manage this. I've only ever wanted to act and write and bring joy, but that part's not valuable

Having your tweets quoted in an article (or remember those ghastly Moments?) is neither an achievement nor a point on one's resume, and it's also unsolicited. Any Black woman knows it brings harassment, and the only bright side here is that it's not rising to the level of threats

I don't even have words sufficient enough to explain my sadness at getting more attention for tweeting about a shitty TV show than for anything I've done professionally in recent memory. Ppl coming out of the woodwork to congratulate (?) me and say "any press is good press"

If I ever have a glass of wine in public again, I can't be the one pouring because I've spent a year filling every glass to the brim and that's just vulgar
