StarCraft is imo a far more challenging game than dota as a steady race but dota fights can spike up pretty high mechanically too, outside of fights - Dota's slower pace & changing nature every thursday is of course more demanding mentally / strategically, there's always too much
Yea, obviously we are comparing oranges to apples here. But I am pretty sure that the amount of strategy required in dota is greater than in sc2. But of course I don't mean that dota is harder as a game. In dota you have a lot more time and 4 extra brains with youtomakedecisions
