It's a truth pretty much universally acknowledged - or it ought to be - that American "progressives" are irksome, daft & frequently vicious. But, but... my god, the conservatives, they're even worse!
The whole follow people on Twitter you don't agree with thing doesn't really work if you read the comments. Don't read the comments! Or follow them, but kind of make your eyes go out of focus when you come across their tweets. That works.
