We wrote a lot of the first issue ourselves, under various pseudonyms. I was Margaret Goord. There's a photo of me as Margaret in an early issue - just some random woman in a stock photo!

Our first print run was 1000 copies (IIRC). We had managed to get about 100 advance subscribers via a web site (set up in 1997). We were left with about 800 spare copies, which we dumped at the World Congress of Philosophy in 1998!
