Part of the reason it's important to criticize far left ideology is because it remains intellectually respectable in a way that's not true of far right ideology.

Yes, that's probably true. But... the history of politics driven by strong notions of collective identity, left and right, is not glorious. If you're on the right, then you need to take that seriously.

Yes, I think the Marxist inversion of the Hegelianism, which posits that humans become themselves through the collective transformation of nature is reductionist, maybe not nonsense, but results in a fatally flawed conception of our species being.
