the relatives into a family room, and then went off to find Sarah to let her know she should do her thing. People were always dying - it was

an acute medical ward - so this wasn't unusual. But it was always a bit unnerving for the staff nurse. So off went Sarah, and I busied with

trying not to cause any trouble while she was gone. About 10 minutes later, she came back looking very flustered & somewhat mortified.

Turned out her opening gambit when she got to relatives had been to say, "God, I'm sure we could all do with a stiff drink right about now!"

Apparently, the family just stared back at her with open-mouthed incredulity. So, you know, these things do happen,& Sarah was a good nurse.

In other words, her crime was not expressing the right feefees at the time. Wuff. People are gonna be in for a ride once AIs rule our lives.

I think suggesting mum & dad have large drink after their daughter dies of alcoholism is slightly more than "not expressing right feefees"!

Isn't it exactly that? Temporarily tabooing an otherwise ok (if not actually preferred) activity bc someone else took it too far?
