For the record... a) I object to the violent push back against Nazis, because fascism tends to flourish in situations where government, and

the institutions of political and civil society, are undermined by large scale chaos, disorder & violence (that's the lesson of both the

Weimar Republic and the rise of fascism in Mussolini's Italy). b) I object to the dehumanization of Nazis, because the lesson of history is

that we are willing to do terrible things to people, once we view them as less than human; c) More generally, I object to rhetoric that

demonizes large groups of people - e.g., Trump voters, the white working-class -because whether you like it all not polarization and...
